SONIC BOOM Events & Timeline:

POCKET POWER UP (2010 – present)
Our latest installment which showcases fewer artists with longer sets per bar/club gig. Starting this year we focused our attention to budding artists like Salamin, December Avenue, Subscapular and Gasulina. We believe that these upcoming acts are the next in line in delivering great quality performances and continuing the music movement which veteran SB bands started in the past.

COLLAB.ARCADE (2010 – present)
The Co-Ed Sound Collaboration. Here we feature 4 male and 4 female fronted bands in a one-night-music-buffet to your liking.

PHAT’S ENTERTAINMENT (2008 – present)
A showcase for artists and bands that are under Alex “Phat Boy” Lim’s management. Usually happens bi-monthly depends on our fearless leader’s and his band’s mood.

SELECT JUMPSTART (2007-2009)
This bi-monthly event was where we found new music and bands back then. It was a gig where we enjoyed the most as we always saw something new. Of course, there were some occasional mishaps from bands that were not at par with the others but hey at least they gave it their best shot. All in all, the Select Jumpstart series was one of the best just because it delivered raw and pure talented musicians who dreams of becoming one of the best.

GAMEGIRL ADVANCE (2007-2009)
Girl Power was the theme for this bi-monthly event. Putting 8 female fronted bands together from both established and new acts. We were convinced that more and more women can rock out in this oh-so-man-driven-music arena.

SONIC BOOM MONTHLY (2006-2009)
August 2006 started the SONIC BOOM revolution with the mix of Cebu bands; Urbandub, The Ambassadors, Faspitch together with Manila band friends: Dicta License, Typecast and Hilera. What started out as a monthly gig for 5 music fans, became one of the biggest and most followed event the metro has to offer reaching our voices to different cities in the Philippines and even outside the country.
